Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all purchases made through blinkandbrowacademy.ca and to attendance at any in-person training delivered by Blink & Brow Co. Academy ("we", "us", "the Academy"). By booking a course you agree to these Terms and to our Course Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
1. What we sell
We sell seats in in-person lash extension and lash lift certification courses held at 5499 Salt Lane, Langley, BC. Each course includes hands-on instruction, a professional lash kit, and a certificate of completion for students who successfully complete the course. We do not sell online-only certification.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age (or have written consent from a parent or guardian) to enrol. No prior beauty experience or licence is required for our beginner courses. Some courses (for example, Volume & Hybrid) require a prior Classic certification; prerequisites are stated on each course page.
3. Booking and payment
A seat is confirmed once we receive your deposit or full payment through our online checkout. Deposits hold your seat; the remaining balance is due before the first day of class unless you have selected an instalment plan at checkout. Prices are in Canadian dollars and applicable taxes are added at checkout. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to change course prices for future dates.
4. Cancellations, transfers and refunds
All deposits and tuition are non-refundable. Transfers to another date are available with at least 7 days' written notice, as set out in full in our Course Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Attendance and certification
Certification is issued only to students who attend the full course and demonstrate the required skills safely on a live model to the satisfaction of the educator. Arriving late or leaving early may result in the certificate being withheld until the missed content is made up, which may be subject to an additional fee. Certificates confirm completion of our training; they are not a government licence, and you are responsible for confirming any local licensing, insurance, or business requirements that apply to you.
6. Models
Where a course requires a live model, we will let you know before class whether we provide models or whether you are asked to bring one. Models must be 18 or older, free of eye infections or conditions that contraindicate the service, and must complete a consent form before any work is done.
7. Health, safety and conduct
Lash adhesive is a professional product and can cause irritation or allergic reaction. You must disclose any known allergies or sensitivities before class and follow all safety instructions given by your educator. We may remove any student whose conduct is unsafe, disruptive, or disrespectful to educators, other students, or models, without refund.
8. Kits and materials
The professional kit included with your course is yours to keep once issued. Kits are not returnable or exchangeable. Course manuals, handouts, lash maps, and other training materials are provided for your personal use only.
9. Intellectual property
All course content, manuals, videos, and materials are the property of Blink & Brow Co. and are protected by copyright. You may not copy, share, resell, or use them to teach others without our written permission. The Blink & Brow Co. name and logo may not be used to promote your own services unless you are an authorised franchisee.
10. Photography
We may take photos or video during class for training and marketing purposes. If you would prefer not to appear in any marketing material, tell your educator at the start of class and we will accommodate you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with any course is limited to the amount you paid for that course. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost income, or for any injury or loss arising from services you later perform on your own clients.
12. Changes to courses
We may update course content, educators, or scheduling to reflect current industry standards. If we must cancel a class, you may choose a full refund or a free transfer as described in our refund policy.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
